As the saying goes you have to kiss a lot of frogs before you meet your prince. I have had the honor of standing beside the side of friends and family who have married their prince charming. I recently had that honor again, of being a bridesmaid in one of my girlfriend’s weddings and it was such a surreal experience because the last wedding I was in had been exactly three years ago and I was 80 pounds heavier.
Big difference right?! I look at this picture now and I can’t even believe that was me. But it was me and there has been a lot of transformation on the inside and outside since that picture was taken. I am sharing this because if I was able to transform myself, so can YOU! One of the definitions of transformation is a marked change, potentially for the better. Isn’t that where change starts, when we realize we are doing something bad and we want to make it better? Of course then, it’s usually during the starting time where we actually start to change or go back to our old behaviors, and perseverance is key. Through time and struggle I did preserver and I was ready to change, are you?
During my weight loss, I did also meet my prince charming and I will never have to kiss another frog because a week after my friends wedding I was asked to marry the man of my dreams.
Whether the transformation you want to make is losing weight, finding love, or feeling more confident in your own skin, I challenge you to take that leap of faith to be the better version of yourself.
