Spring is here which means bathing suit season is right around the corner! Are you already thinking about how you can get ready for summer and feel comfortable walking around in your polka dot bikini? Well, I am here to help. I’d like to give you some tips to help you feel clean and lean from the inside out.

1. Drink at least 16 oz of water in the morning
If you drink it on an empty stomach it cleans the colon and helps your body absorb nutrients throughout the day. Water in the morning will also help speed up your metabolism for the rest of the day. It will give you glowing skin, and overall will help you function better for the rest of the day
For an even greater effect add lemon!

2. Eat what is in season
When you balance the way you eat with the cycles of the season it is a natural way for your body to cleanse. So when you think of spring what types of food come to mind? I’m guessing you don’t think of a big juicy hamburger, but most likely a green salad or something that is a plant food.

Recommendations: oranges, limes, lemons, kiwis, grapefruit, fava beans, beets, broccoli, asparagus, bitter greens, parsley, barley, millet, and quinoa.
I’d avoid: fried foods, sugar, coffee, chocolate, alcohol, and red meats.

3. Reduce or Eliminate Dairy
Smile and say cheeeeseeeee! Don’t you love doing that? And my guess is you love cheese too, how can you not? However, if you knew that cutting it out could possibly reduce the cheesy thighs you want to show off; I think you wouldn’t love it as much. Dairy particularly cows milk can cause a lot of bad reactions in our bodies, but during this time of year it can attribute to making your allergies worse, break outs on the skin, and make it harder to lose weight.

4. Cleanse
Have you started your spring cleaning? We always use this time of year to deep clean our homes but did you know it’s also the best time to deep clean your bodies? During the spring, our bodies begin to release toxins, want to banish the bloat, and achieve its best health. But to achieve that you have to put in cleansing foods and eliminate processed foods, sugar, and alcohol for at least one week.

5. Got Allergies?
Nothing is worse than being outside on a beautiful day and then having to deal with itchy eyes and a runny nose! For a natural way try add in bee products to your diet , in doing so you’re taking in the pollen that causes the allergies. Over time you will build a resistance and be able to be outside and take in the fresh air!!
